Email Verification

The process of confirming that an email address is valid, deliverable, and belongs to a real person.

What is Email Verification?

Email verification checks whether an email address is valid before you send to it. A comprehensive verification process includes:

Syntax check: Is the email format valid? Domain check: Does the domain exist and accept email? Mailbox check: Does the specific mailbox exist? Risk analysis: Is it a role address, disposable, etc.?

Verification results:

  • Valid: Address exists and should accept mail
  • Invalid: Address doesn't exist (would hard bounce)
  • Risky: Address has risk factors (catch-all, role-based)
  • Unknown: Can't be determined

Why verification matters: 1. Prevents hard bounces that damage reputation 2. Improves deliverability by cleaning lists 3. Saves money by not sending to bad addresses 4. Required for maintaining sender reputation

Always verify emails before sending cold outreach. Our verification handles catch-all domains that standard tools can't verify.
